About me

I am Ronald de Wit, medical oncologist, having been affiliated at the Erasmus University Medical Center and Cancer Institute for more than 30 years, with a full Professorship in Genitourinary Oncology.

• Past Chairman of the Chemotherapy Committee of the EORTC Genito-Urinary Group
• Founding and present Chairman of the Dutch Uro-Oncology Study Group (DUOS)
• Member of the Academy of Europe.

I have 30+ year experience in clinical cancer trial design and conduct, I have initiated, chaired or co-chaired multiple national as well as international multicenter studies in germ cell cancer, urothelial , renal and prostate cancer. 

This clinical research comprised investigator , as well as collaborative group and Industry studies.  In addition to GU malignancies, in the past decades I have also initiated and led Gynaecological and breast cancer studies, and anti-emetic research. I am happy to provide my expertise, both in a consultancy or advisory role, including trial design, conduct and problem solvi

I have an extensive 20 years extensive experience  in chairing and serving on Data Monitoring Committees for Industry studies in a broad variety of solid cancers. I am happy to continue providing my expertise in chairing or serving  on future independent data monitoring committees.
